Raymon was born in Eastbourne on 19 March 1914 to Auguste Lacoste and his wife Lily (née O’Hara). During the war he served as a captain in the 113th Field Regiment of the Royal Artillery. He died on active service on the Italian mainland, only a month after it had been invaded by the Allies, and is buried at the Minturno War Cemetery, some 50 miles north of Naples. He left a widow, Isabel.
