We recently mentioned that our Oral History Society will be supplementing the 4th Form’s Second World War research by way of an oral-history project. The aim of the project is to document life ‘on the home front’ at Brighton College.
This week, the society have been busy preparing for interviews: letters have been drafted, interview schedules written and plans made for how we might respond to the finished recordings. Abby Wharne, the College’s Archivist, who has been facilitating the project, wanted pupils to gain skills in project management and planning.
She has been so impressed with the pupil’s mature approach to creating resources, and their ability to work well as a team. It will be exciting to see the results of their hard work next term.
